Everyone knows that Telugu Years are 60, but few know how they got their names. there is a story behind those 60 years.

The goddess of Narada turns into a woman because of Vishnu Maya and married a king. They have 60 Sons. One day the king goes to war with his sons, everyone has died in that war. then Narada prayed for Lord Vishnu very hardly.

Then Lord Vishnu shows mercy to the prayed Narada and give him a Gift. "Your children look forward to a cycle of 60 years" the names of those 60 sons are turned into Telugu years. Now we are entering into the 34th Telugu Year (Sarvari).
